A VERY DELIBERATE ACT

Finding beauty in life has become a very deliberate act for me. It is no coincidence my work reflects it. But I would add that I am merely a vessel, a practical instrument if you will, that has become a portal for showing the beauty in the ordinary and sometimes mundane. It is true that if you set out to seek something you will eventually find it. Because I always seek beauty, I find it very often. How this has come to be is something I take a deep dive into with my current book which I’m writing. Nevertheless, this deliberate act can apply to a lot things. Just like with beauty, I also seek peace, knowledge, solace and positivity. And because these are the sort of things I make an effort to seek out, I constantly find it. Life in essence becomes more of what I seek of them. It doesn’t mean I’ve become oblivious to the reality of the difficulties life sometimes poses, it just means I’m choosing to still seek what I consider to be the good that does to exist in life despite its many challenges.

I believe in perspective which in this case means others will perceive the world differently and seek out other things than I do and then become a portal for me and others alike to get a glimpse of what it is they seek as they embody more of it. The world is full of differences but yet we remain connected.

As always, I share these things not only to document my thoughts but to also allow others a chance to pick up a thing or two or disregard it if they so choose to. In the past when I wasn’t quite conscious of my actions, I used to attract certain things into my life which I didn’t want at all. It wasn’t until I read “The Power of the Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy that I started organising my thoughts in a way that aligned with what I wanted out of life.

The beauty of this practice is that the results are instant. The moment I took control of my thought process and understood I could bring about a shift in it, I began implementing it as often as I could. I saw the effects almost immediately. What was going on inside was reflected in my outer being. An approach I continue to take which has been elevated by my daily journaling habit.

If you find yourself reading this and like the old me you are not quite deliberate about the things you seek out but would like for that to change that, then I challenge you to attempt seeking out more of the things you truly desire. Like I always say to my friends, you have absolutely nothing to lose but everything to gain if you find that the results match or even exceed your expectations.
