STYLE AND CALM IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

A long weekend of style and calm in the countryside was the perfect way to escape the city and recharge. My time was spent doing a bit of work and relaxing with copious amounts of tea while enjoying the view of what appeared to be slow and scenic days in nature. Naturally, I came prepared, arriving with my suitcases packed to settle in as I wasn’t planning on leaving my lodge until I was ready to say goodbye. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were scheduled to be had on the premises, with a note from the restaurant saying please dress smart. It’s safe to say I was ready to indulge, and indulge I most certainly did.

This midi dress was the perfect look to enjoy a nice afternoon tea in the drawing room which was beaming with light emanating from the high windows through which one could enjoy the view of the grounds. Coincidentally, the dress happened to match the drapings in my room where I spent some time doing some reading and journaling while taking in the view of the flower rich garden from my windows.

The Soa Dress and Beatrice Maxi Dress paired together with the Tenant Heels made for the quintessential dinner looks especially since they both allowed room to enjoy a paced candlelit three course meal accompanied with drinks. I know new year’s eve won’t be the same this year, but I can imagine styling these dresses for a nice meal at home over the holiday season.

And when it came time to explore the grounds, the Teddy Shirt Jacket was great for staying nice and warm. I did a bit of running around in it under the draping trees. I got to see the lake with four ducks swimming away. I even stumbled upon a well hidden lovers bench which made me wonder a bit about all that came before me. In the end, I sat on it to admire the country house that I had only just come to discover and enjoy.
