48 HOURS LUXURY STAY IN LONDON

A couple of weeks ago, we got to experience a 48 hours luxury stay in London thanks to the lovely folks at Visit London who showed us how to navigate this beautiful city this holiday season.

Upon arrival, we checked into Le Méridien Piccadilly, a central hotel located to key London landmarks. You can read all about our time at the hotel here.

It’s no secret we love most things vintage, which was why we stopped by the London Transport Museum for a good old photoshoot. It was only 15 minutes walk from our hotel. The staff were very kind to show us around and share some history about London.

I guess it wouldn’t be a luxury stay if a bit of shopping wasn’t involved. We visited Regent Street which is right next to our hotel and got our hands on a couple of items from the latest Karl Lagerfeld collection. We also went to Mayfair where we enjoyed tea while picking up a bag from Strathberry. And for a very special intimate experience, we got to make our own scents in Floris which was just 3 minutes walk from our hotel. You can read all about our experience with Floris here.

Of course we dined and wined in some of London’s finest restaurants. The Hawkmoor, San Carlo and Searcys at The Gherkin to name a few. The latter had a view of the city which we’ve never experienced before. It was a new way to appreciate London.

Speaking of views, we also got a chance to take a trip on the London Eye. Again, it was lovely to see the city from above with beautiful night lights.

As it so happened, we were fortunate enough to be in London during some of the Christmas lights switch on. We first attended the one at Covent Garden were we got to experience the magic of Christmas covered in faux snow. Then we ended our stay with fire works on Regent Street where we sang along to Last Christmas.
