ALWAYS IN LONDON

I find myself always in London these days. This month, I’ve been down at least once a week for work. Sometimes I have to spend a night or two or even more as was the case during my last visit to explore London with the lovely folks at Visit London. I’ve been lucky enough to have hotels open up their doors to host me and this time around, it was the wonderful Le Méridien Piccadilly. Located right in the centre of London, it was the perfect place to explore the city during the festive period. A blog post of what we got up to will follow shortly.

Craig was on this trip with me and one of the things we enjoy doing is eating out. The hotel boasts an in house restaurant called The Terrace on Piccadilly. There we enjoyed a good old English Breakfast in the mornings and a hearty meal from the restaurant menu at dinner. Also on the menu given the festive season was a winter wonderland afternoon tea which was nothing shot of a delight. Be sure to pace yourself if you decide to go for it as there’s much to get through.

We found entertainment in Maskelyne & Cooke. A magic bar in the hotel which we got to experience during our time there. The resident magician got us involved in different tricks which felt very immersive. We were impressed to say the least. Especially me as I do tend to believe in magic every now and again.

One of my favourite things about the hotel is its various grand suites which has beautiful fixtures and fittings. One of which is used as a dance studio. Yes, we got to see some professional dancers in action and they were brilliant to watch.

There’s also a spa and leisure facility which guests can use. Given our schedule we didn’t get to take advantage of this but hopefully next time.

We spent three nights here and really got a feel of London as the hotel is close to a lot of landmarks in the city. The staff were lovely and accommodating which is something that can make a stay even more pleasant.

Thanks for reading “Always in London.”. A special thank you to Visit London and Le Méridien Piccadilly for having us.
