MEMORIES OF LOVE

Memories of love is the name I decided to give to my scent. Yes, I have a scent and so does Craig. We managed to discover it with the help of Floris using their Together Bespoke Experience. This is a service that allows you and your chosen partner to go into Floris to create a scent that is unique to you from scratch with the assistance and guidance of an expert perfumer in a private space which I’ve dubbed “the perfume library” as it really does take me back in time.

The space holds a lot of history of the brand which meant we got to immerse ourselves in it especially being lovers of anything remotely old.

Our perfumer talked us through the process of creating our scents first of all starting off with the base scent before moving on to adding other scents to compliment our fragrance. We learnt about various scents and in some instances we managed to identify some familiar ingredients.

I seemed to be drawn to the floral scents while Craig loved the smell of the the marines. This would form our individual bases before adding six additional scents to create our very own Eau De Parfum.

Then came the time for us to name our fragrance. Craig kept it simple and went for “Moss”, while I took the romantic route if you will and called mine “Memories of Love”. I can’t help but be taken back to a memory when I come across a familiar scent, hence my name choice.

The Together Bespoke Experience lasts about three hours. It is a nice way to have an intimate experience with someone special. It’s an experience I’d recommend to a perfume lover or someone who hasn’t managed to quite discover their scent. The hands on approach and involvement really does make it feel very personalised to you. A gift definitely worth giving.

Our unique scents are now archived with Floris meaning we can continue to have it for life if we so choose to.
