MY DEBUT SINGLE

Happy New Year! I feel like it’s been a long while since I’ve been on here sharing and documenting my thoughts as I always do, but not without good reason. Over the holidays, I decided to allow myself rest and indulge more in things that continue to bring joy to my soul. I did a lot of journaling, reading, eating, sleeping, catching up with friends and family and watching lots of shows, the latest of which is Bridgerton which I’m sure you’ve probably seen too. Nonetheless, it feels good to be back here in this wonderful space that has allowed my creative mind flourish over the years. And speaking of creativity, I’m happy to announce that my debut single ‘In Your Eyes’ comes out this Friday which is the 22nd of this month.

If you’ve been keeping up with my blog then you’d know that last summer during what was a trying time for me and many others alike given the current climate, I decided to revisit some of the things that have been known to bring me joy. One of which happens to be music. I’ve been writing songs for a very long time, since my secondary school days but never quite pursued it. As I spent much of last year on even deeper introspection, it encouraged me to begin working on my EP.

‘In Your Eyes’ is my debut single into the world of music. The song is about the glimmer of hope that is sometimes found in loss. Inspired by a dear friend of mine. It’s very much in keeping with my peaceful nature.

I have ventured on this path as an independent artist and would definitely love to keep it that way. I’ve been very lucky to have a producer who’s been showing me the ropes in this new world. Thanks to his efforts, ‘In Your Eyes’ will be played on a lot of radio stations across the UK and Ireland. You’re going to hear me on stations like BBC Radio 6 and RTE Radio. I feel very humbled to say the least.

In the meantime, you can now pre-save the song on all major streaming platforms just in time to listen to it upon its release come the 22nd of January.
