We’re back again with another week in black and white. We have been pretty swamped shooting campaigns and meeting deadlines which has seen us lag a little behind on our own personal projects. We didn’t manage to vlog this week. Hopefully we’ll get back to it next week. We’ve decided another weekly content for the blog which will be a roundup of our Instagram posts. One advice I’ve always gotten from fellow bloggers is to build up your blog as it is a platform you own unlike social media platforms which you only have an account on and are owned by other organisations. We thought it’ll be wise to start archiving our Instagram posts on the blog especially now we’re posting a lot more.
This week has turned out to be a success. We got the most exciting news to work with a well known brand (we’ll share more details in future posts as we’re currently working on the project) which is our biggest break yet. Looking forward to telling you all about it, hopefully soon. One thing that was apparent from this news is that we made the right call when we decided to go down the road of working as a couple. We should have known to be honest as we seemed to get more engagement on our couple content. But this was actual validation that we were taking a step in the right direction. One of the biggest lessons we’ve learnt is to carry on doing what we do cause we seem to do it well. It’s funny how fear nearly consumed us from both pursing the move to full time blogging due to uncertainties. This serves as a gentle reminder to do the things you want to do anyway, even in the face of fear. To put it not so delicately, do it scared!
Thanks to a very good friend of mine, Lola, we’re now wiser when it comes to branding. She shared a lot in her eBook “The Branding Blueprint” (which is free to download on her blog) about how to define your brand as a blogger. A must read for anyone looking to carve their niche. We have began implementing some of the things she talked about. The key takeaway for us was to remember to just be us in the process as we are the key players.***If you want to edit like me, you can!
