The first day of spring is always a day I look forward to. I’m constantly on the look out for great weather. It always plays out the same; go on google, type in the first day of spring and the current year, voila! I am armed with a date that marks the start of a beautiful weather. But not quite. Living in England will teach you to take the weather as it comes and appreciate every bit of sunshine you get. I mean we are known to experience all four seasons in one day, lol. This year, the date happened to be the 20th of March. However, it would seem that the beautiful Manchester skies had a quarrel with her lover and was very upset about it. She cried for three days straight and sneezed a lot. This meant staying indoors for her residents whose only option was to pray that the lovers quarrel would end soon.
Being one of her many victims, I found myself looking like a yeti trying not to get caught up in the middle of it all. Alas, I had to find a warm spot to drown in some much needed coffee. Give me your best shot (the words I was thinking when I took off my faux fur coat to reveal my spring outfit). Pink top and flower patterned jeans paired with gold trainers was the perfect combo to say hello to spring. Come the afternoon of the 20th, it would seem that the beautiful Manchester skies had reached a resolve with her lover as the sun shone over the city. But this was short lived with more tears and broken hearts (at least on my part) following the next morning.
