Nocturnal

January 25, 2017

Here I am at 2 am writing up this blog post as I juggle life as an accountant by day and blogger every other spare time. Craig believes me to be a nocturnal creature of some sort that’s driven by my obsession for photography, lol. Being busy most times means we don’t always get to catch the natural light especially when it rains on what seems to be shorter days since we’re in winter. This day happened to be one of those days which meant our usual weekend coffee stop was done late in the evening.

We discovered a new spot called The Refinery which has the most exquisite indoor and outdoor sitting in terms of layout and decor. It is definitely a place we plan on visiting again soon. Earlier on in the week, I accompanied a close work friend from work to & Other Stories, a fairly new retail store as she wanted to take advantage of the sale. While waiting for her to try on an outfit, I decided to have a look at the sale rack and there I discovered this sparkly knit perfect for the weather at 50% off. Let’s just say I wasted no time grabbing it for myself. Paired with my heeled ankle boots and skinny black jeans, it was the perfect outfit for the evening as it complimented the lights beautifully. Needless to say, I had an amazing time shooting in the dark. Nocturnal creature or not, the light and night are always my friend but now I must go to bed to lay down my head.
