There’s nothing I love more than going to a cool spot to spend time after Church on a Sunday and enjoy a nice hot drink. Being with friends in a wonderful atmosphere was a beautiful way to start the year. I’m very hopeful about great things to come in 2017 so stepping out in style was a must. I threw on my mustard Primarni knit, paired with skinny high waist black jeans and my golden Gola trainers, all that was missing was my faux fur coat and brand new specs thanks to Firmoo. This, by the way, was a great outfit choice as nearly everyone wanted to stroke me cause I looked exceptionally fluffy. In the words of the Rector “our treasurer has been transformed into a yeti”, lol. I couldn’t agree more. I want to be a source of joy to my friends, family and everyone I encounter in the new year and many years to come.
On our walk back home, we noticed how town was exceptionally quiet. This was due to a lot of folks celebrating the night before to usher in the new year. Most places were closed but we discovered a cute little spot in Spinningfields called Comptoir Libanais were we stopped for coffee, a shoot and some chit chat. The smell of the coffee felt very familiar, and it’s warmth; very reassuring as I took it down sip by sip. Suddenly, I feel more awake than I’ve ever felt in my entire life. I know what lies ahead, it’s the same dreams I’ve been dreaming for years. And days like these bring me even more closer to it – my familiar.
