Reflection

November 26, 2016

I got an email from a subscriber a couple of weeks who said they noticed how my introspective personality is reflected in my blog posts as well as how simple and purposeful my life comes across and wanted to know what has inspired me to create the life I have right now. 2n4a0073
It really got me thinking for a minute as I was never really conscious of the introspective view I seem to take. But the more I thought about it, the more it made a whole lot of sense. It goes back to a few years ago when nothing seemed to be going right. It almost felt like rock bottom and nearly crushed my spirit. I remember deliberately seeking out things to lift me up. It was then I discovered the law of attraction and the power of positive thinking. It didn’t take long for me to put it into practice. In the process I became more aware of myself, not in selfish or judgmental way but by getting to know who I am as a person, acknowledging my life experiences and desire to grow. 2n4a00162n4a0022
So my answer was simple – “self awareness”. When you’re self aware you focus more on your growth. It allows you to audit yourself and you can identify your strengths and shortcomings and use it to become a better version of yourself. I always say to myself, no one knows my story better than I do because only I have lived my life. When it comes down to it, the best person to compare myself to would always be the me of yesterday.2n4a0086Reflection, in collaboration with KAYTIE WU.
