Balcony Romance

April 2, 2016

It’s amazing how fear can become a source of inspiration. I use to overanalyse everything so I could reach a rational decision as to whether or not to take action. My fear became my weakness; a weakness purported by my extreme mind. It didn’t take me long to realise that I was the only one standing in my way through my thoughts which drove my actions. Confronting my fears would be the only way to get it out of my thoughts. As someone who is very scared of heights and open water, I somehow managed to convince myself to take an apartment on the 8th floor overlooking the river from the balcony. 2N4A6272In the first few days it was a struggle for me to step onto the balcony let alone look down. Being new to the area I hadn’t sourced out the best route to work so I found myself walking along the riverside which had some height to it. At first I was scared, but as I walked past the long river day and night I soon realised I did it without thinking of my fears. It was in one of those moments I decided it was time to face my balcony which was going nowhere. I set out on a mission to make it more inviting by decorating it. It didn’t take long before I found myself crawling onto it then standing and now striking some poses for this blog post. It has become my favourite spot and a place to draw inspiration from. I dare say it’s become a romance, one which is very much inviting.2N4A6285Style by Onyi MossPhotography by Onyi Moss & Craig Moss
