In Transit

March 21, 2015

I used to live my life waiting on miracles to happen (not that I don’t believe in miracles happening) rather than go after the things I wanted. I had all these excuses as to why I couldn’t do certain things but little did I know I was subconciously ย self sabotaging. I would say things like ”I wish I had a close friend who was a photographer then they could photograph my work for my blog”. It was as if it never occurred to me I could do all that I wanted except through someone else. I remember being at a crossroad while at uni and my Mum said to me ”Onyi, do you know you can be anything you want to be as long as you work hard at it.” And then she went on to explain how nothing good comes easy but with hard work and persistence you’re sure to achieve your desired result.

I have since applied this in different aspects of my life and it has proven to work. I not only work hard at the things I want but soon enough I also attract the things and people that assist me in achieving my goals. I no longer sit in anticipation but forge ahead. And if that miracle happens to find me in transit, be rest assured I’ll grab on to every bit of it.
