Have you ever been in a situation where you find yourself wishing you hadn’t done something or that you could have done more? Well, it’s a pickle I happen to find myself in every now and again. Most times I find regret being a constant coupled with an underlying guilt and this my friend is no way to live, at least happily. And so in my journey of self love I discovered the act of forgiveness; learning to forgive others and most importantly forgive myself. Sometimes we’re our worst critic, finding flaws others struggle to see even when they go searching.
At times like this is when we need to step back, analyse the situation and accept that nothing can be done in retrospect but in prospect. Dust yourself up, put it down as lesson learnt and walk away. Yesterday is gone and there’s always tomorrow which brings with it endless possibilities. And so today, I’m writing off a few mistakes and looking forward to what tomorrow may bring with it, in the meantime, join me in saying goodbye to the mistakes of yesterday.
