Literally In Love

February 7, 2015

Two years ago my husband proposed to me in the cinema which happened to be the same spot were we had our first kiss. It was everything I had dreamt of and even more especially since he was my best friend.

You see before I met my ”Craggle” (the name I call my husband), I had always dreamt of meeting ”prince charming” and whenever I thought about him the one thing that I was sure of was that he’d love me and everything else that came along with loving me.

I moved to Birmingham, England from Nigeria over 6 years ago to study and never really got to meet that special someone since I was focusing on my studies. As soon as I was done studying I decided to move to Manchester to find a job and also to be closer to my friend Mimi. And sure enough, after 4 months of residing in Manchester I met Craggle on Oasis and as soon as I saw him it all felt very familiar, perhaps too familiar. Being with him was easy and loving him came naturally. And so when he proposed 5 months later, off course I said yes cause the man I know I have always known from my dreams and this was just a case of dejavu.

He did not only love me but loved and continues to love all of me. I see this everyday in the way he looks at me, in the way he interacts with my family, in the way he says ”a fun gi naya” (my native tongue meaning I love you) and in the way he supports my dreams and choices. And so for all of this and so much more, I dedicate this post to my Craggle and pray we remain together in love for many many years to come.

”Craggle’m, a fun gi naya”.
